Interested in becoming an HSLC Community Partner? If you manage a business, lead a youth group, or are influential in other organizations, consider partnering with the HSLC to support our mission. We have several events each year offering advertising and sponsorship opportunities. Pet Supplies Plus has been very generous to the HSLC for many years from showing our pets at their store
before we had a shelter to their continued support of events including on site adoptions, vaccine clinics, and primary sponsorship for our annual golf outing. To Jack Berry , founder of Pet Supplies Plus, and everyone at their Brighton, Howell, & Milford stores, we extend a big, heartfelt THANK YOU for always being there when we need you!
Pictured: Molly Trosko, Director of Operations for Taco Bell franchises A GREAT BIG "THANK YOU" to Mr. Peter Lyders, owner of 106 Taco Bell franchises for setting up a very generous Matching Donations Program to support local animal welfare organizations throughout Michigan and the midwest including the HSLC. We collected over $7000 donated by customers in 2010 at five Taco Bell locations in the Livingston County area plus received the matching funds from Taco Bell for a total of $14,625!
This has been a very successful program for us and we are excited that Mr. Lyders has decided to continue this program for 2011. It's a great opportunity to DOUBLE your DONATIONS at the following Taco Bell locations:

Many thanks to Karen Vaden, owner of Atta' Boy Dog Training who volunteers her expertise consulting with HSLC staff, training our volunteer dog walkers, and working with our pets to help improve their opportunity for successful adoptions. Karen has earned the respect and trust of many friends here at the HSLC, both the 2 legged and 4 legged kind!

WHMI Radio (93.5 FM) supports the HSLC with a weekly program, Pet Patrol , to spotlight our adoptable pets, pet care tips, fundraising events, and more. Pet Patrol is part of the WHMI Viewpoint program broadcast on Sunday mornings at 8:30 am. You can replay recent Viewpoint programs on the WHMI web site.
If you have digital Comcast cable, you can view our adoptable pets on "Pets on Demand."
The Comcast crew visits the HSLC shelter on a regular basis to film our adoptable animals.

We participate in VG's Community Share Fund. When you donate your VG's receipts, HSLC receives
a 1% donation of your total grocery purchase. That's 1 penny for each VG's Community Share Point printed at the bottom of your receipt. Simply drop off or mail the bottom portion of your receipts to the HSLC showing the number of Community Share Points.
Note: Beginning January 9, 2011, VG's Community Share Points will only be earned when you purchase groceries using your "VG's Yes Rewards" card so be sure to sign up at your VG's store or visit their web site for more information: myyesrewards.com
