“Apaws-apaws” to Girl Scout Troop 1818 "Pennies for Pets"

Congratulations to Brownie Girl Scout Troop #1818 from Creekside Elementary in Hartland for reaching their goal to sponsor an HSLC animal cage by raising money with their “Pennies for Pets” booth over the past few months!

The troop worked hard at several events this year including HSLC Vaccine Clinics, neighborhood collection drives, and Hartland Heritage Days. They have put their hearts and creative talents to good use offering many fun items such as cat ropes with bells, dog ropes, catnip toys, picture frame magnets, greeting cards, bookmarks, buttons, kitty and doggie goody bags, as well as "human treats". 100% of the proceeds are donated to the HSLC .

The girls recently brought in their donations, got a tour of the facility, and even gave out handmade toys to each of the cats, kittens, and dogs!  All of our shelter animals appreciate your efforts… keep up the great work girls!
