My name is Victor. I'm a 10 month old, male Cattle Dog. Sometimes I'm timid with new people, but once I get to know you, I'm very PLAYFUL and WELL BEHAVED. I am also VERY SMART and learn quickly. I am house trained and respond well to basic commands, but I'm still a young pup who would benefit from additional training with an experienced owner.

I am ACTIVE, strong, and a very typical HERDING DOG. I would THRIVE on a farm doing what I was bred to do. I will chase cats, but respect them if they have claws and stand up to me. I get along well with other dogs here at the shelter who are of similar size. I may be too much for a family that's looking for a companion dog, unless they plan to run daily with me and provide me with lots of mental stimulation. I need a home that's experienced in working or herding dogs to really appreciate what a GREAT DOG I can be!

My name is Paris. I am a female Min Pin that was born in 9/2009. I was first given up because my owner moved into a rental home that did not allow pets. I was then adopted, but had to come back for being too possessive of my new owner. I would be ideally suited to living with a SINGLE PERSON with whom I can shower ALL MY LOVE and attention.

I am house trained and used to being contained when outside by an invisible fence, otherwise I will dart through open doors or gates. I get along well with other dogs and also cats. I am generally quiet and well behaved. I follow basic commands, good on walks, and LOVE TO PLAY!

Hello everyone! My name is Charlie! I'm a PUREBRED Parson Russell Terrier estimated to have been born around 2007. I arrived at another shelter as a stray and then no one ever came to claim me. That shelter was becoming full so, luckily, I came here to find a home. I'm a GREAT DOG for an experienced dog owner, especially with Jack or Parson Russell Terriers.

I am a relatively MELLOW little guy and UNUSUALLY QUIET for my breed, but like to PLAY and BOUNCE! I will need lots of DAILY EXERCISE, a FENCE to keep me safe at home, and an owner willing to be FIRM with me. Although I was first thought to be good with other animals, as I've settled in here, the staff has seen that I should be the ONLY PET in a home. Because I'm dominant, TEENAGERS to ADULTS is also best for me. I may also need some house training reminders in my next home, but should adapt well once I know the routine.

I know a whole bunch of really COOL TRICKS that I love to do for people when they visit. Sometimes when people walk by my kennel at the shelter, I get a little protective and bark a bit too much. But, when given the chance out of my kennel, you would see what a LOVING girl I really am. I could be a VERY LOYAL and fun-loving companion with someone who understands my breed. I really don't want to live with other animals or small children so an adult home, experienced with my breed is best for me. My name is Eve. I am a VERY SWEET, PLAYFUL girl estimated to have been born around 1/2008. I was surrendered to the shelter with my litter of kittens. I had been a barn cat who had not been spayed and wandered away to the neighbor's house because he provided food. He found my babies and wanted us to have a better life so now here I am.

Lucky for me, because I needed surgery shortly after arriving at the humane society. The vet staff was shocked that I had a blockage in my intestines, but they took good care of me and now I feel GREAT and VERY THANKFUL for a second chance at a forever home!

I GET ALONG WELL WITH OTHER CATS and would likely be FINE with a CALM DOG, too. I’ve been waiting here a long time. Can we go home now?

I am a HANDSOME, black cat with SOFT GREEN eyes named, yep, you guessed it, Blackie. I was born around 2004 and adopted from the shelter a while ago, but then recently showed up at an animal control facility as a stray. My owner never claimed me and, because I was micro chipped, luckily I was returned to the humane society to take care of me again.

I am WELL BEHAVED here at the shelter, but may need some time to learn the rules in my new home and MAY DO BEST where I am the ONLY PET. I am a FRIENDLY, ACTIVE cat who is anxious to be adopted again and DESERVES ANOTHER CHANCE for a good home. This time I hope it will be FURR-ever!

My name is Missy and I'm a former HSLC cat who was recently returned because my owner no longer wanted me. I am a SWEET GIRL, but was not happy in my home so it's a good thing I have a chance to find a new home and family to love me!

I was born in 1/2008. I would prefer a home with ADULTS ONLY or TEENAGE KIDS. I am AFFECTIONATE and very EASY-GOING except that I do like a clean litter box, but who wouldn't? I have lived with other animals including CATS and DOGS. The dog in my last home made me a bit nervous and stressed, so I'm a little shy here at the shelter when I hear barking, but when it's quiet, I will RELAX and PLAY.

They call me Black Jack and I am quite an interesting fellow. I am a very cool, sleek, male cat with Bombay characteristics born around May 2009. I have been living at the Humane Society most of my life so the staff knows me well and has a good idea of the best type of home for me. I am VERY FRIENDLY, PLAYFUL, and can be full of MISCHIEF which can be quite ENTERTAINING! I have a very DOMINANT, ACTIVE personality so I find lots of ways to AMUSE myself. I do not really like to be picked up or held so would not interact well with small kids, but would be happy in a home with a young, tolerant CAT or DOG who would learn to play my games. In fact, I have been REALLY GENTLE and LOVING with the KITTENS here at the shelter, so it would be REALLY GREAT if you could ADOPT ME along with a new KITTEN to PLAY with… how FUN would that be? I am having a tough time being in a cage at the shelter and hoping the right person will read this and give me the lucky break I deserve for a forever home!

I am affectionately referred to as “King Yul” by my staff here at the shelter. I am a SUPER-HANDSOME Siamese mix born sometime in 2006. I have had a couple homes that did not work out, so really hoping to find my forever kingdom this time. Here at the shelter, I portray an INDEPENDENT, COOL ATTITUDE, but have been known to show a more AFFECTIONATE, LOYAL SIDE once I am secure in my home. I can be a bit stubborn at times, so would be best-suited in a home without small children. I tend to be DOMINANT with most other cats and I'm not afraid to put a dog in its place if I have to, so may be best if I am the only pet in the household or could possibly co-exist with another independent feline willing to share the home kingdom. Although I enjoy the safety of an indoor home, I have been known to venture outdoors when given the opportunity. This, unfortunately, got me into trouble when I was hit by a car a couple of years ago. Luckily, I fully recovered, but not sure I learned my lesson about that. I'm thinking my ideal home is with a guy who's looking for someone to hang out with at home, but doesn't want to get a dog!

Hi, my name is Mickey! I'm a young, handsome, REALLY NICE boy who has been waiting patiently and, apparently, too quietly at the shelter for a new home for much too long! Well, I’m going to speak up now and tell you all what a GREAT PET I would be in ALMOST ANY TYPE OF HOME! I was born in May 2007, lovingly hand-raised, and then adopted as a kitten. But, then I was given away for some reason and ended up at another Humane Society until I was eventually returned to the HSLC to help me find a home again. I'm a VERY FRIENDLY, PLAYFUL guy who really LIKES to be around PEOPLE and is VERY TOLERANT WITH KIDS. I get along GREAT WITH MOST other CATS here at the shelter, so I would fit in nicely at home with other cats to play with! I can also be very content to SIT ON YOUR LAP and listen as you tell me about your day. I am a very WELL BEHAVED cat when it comes to using my litter box and using a good scratching post. So, you must be asking the same question by now… why am I homeless? Please take me home forever!

My name is Buie. I was born in 2007 and originally adopted from the shelter, but then returned because I didn't get along with the family dog. Too bad that was a requirement, because I’m a SUPER NICE CAT! I am VERY FRIENDLY, AFFECTIONATE, and LIKE TO CUDDLE and be brushed. I have shared a room with other cats here at the shelter where I do fine on a short term basis, but then get a little too dominant, so may do best if I am the ONLY PET or at least given a good amount of time to adjust in my next home. I lived with a teenager in my last home, but not sure how I would get along with younger children. One of my ears is a little deformed from an old infection, but it doesn't bother me at all, and in fact, many people think it makes me even MORE ADORABLE and UNIQUE! I can’t argue with that!
