Tickets are now on sale for our annual Fur Ball Fundraiser. Join us at Crystal Gardens in Howell for an elegant and exciting evening including including dinner, open premium bar, raffles, live and silent auctions, plus dancing with musical entertainment provided by the band Serious Jack. Also, consider sponsorship of this event as a great way to increase exposure for your business and show support for homeless animals in your community. HSLC Vaccine and Micro-chip Clinics |

| Show your love by micro-chipping and vaccinating your pets. HSLC clinics are scheduled on selected Saturdays & Sundays at our shelter on Dorr Road and also at Pet Supplies Plus in Brighton and Howell and at Pet X Supplies & Tack in Howell. No appointments necessary! Cats must be brought in carriers and dogs must be leashed. Clinic dates and times may be subject to change due to unplanned events or severe weather. In addition to our normal adoption hours at the HSLC shelter, we also feature some of our pets available for adoption at other nearby locations. An HSLC staff member is typically available to qualify potential adoptions at each site so you can take your new pet home with you! |

HSLC 2009 Golf Outing
Thanks for one of our most successful years!
Our 15th annual golf outing fundraiser was held on June 19, 2009 at the beautiful Majestic in Hartland. Participants enjoyed 18 holes of golf, lunch, and dinner plus plenty of contests and prizes to provide a full day of fun with competitive spirit knowing that all proceeds would benefit our homeless pets. This event was made possible by the generosity of our major sponsor, Pet Supplies Plus of Howell, Brighton , & Milford and many sponsors, participants, & volunteers. Ongoing Adoption Special - "Seniors for Seniors"
In recognition for how much our pets can enrich the joy and quality of life, especially in our senior years, HSLC has established an ongoing program to waive the adoption fee for any senior cat for any senior person (62 years of age or older). Adoption specials are limited to one per household and must be approved. Stop by during shelter hours to find a new companion to share your home and warm your heart!

The minimum age for children is 8 years old. Children under the age of 14 must be under the supervision of a parent. Junior volunteers 14 -17 years of age are able to volunteer without a parent. Volunteer opportunities are available in many different areas of the shelter as well as helping with building maintenance, fundraisers, graphic design and many more!
WHMI Radio (93.5 FM) Pet Patrol 
WHMI Radio (93.5 FM) supports the HSLC with a weekly program, Pet Patrol to spotlight our adoptable pets, pet care tips, fundraising events, and more. Pet Patrol is part of the WHMI Viewpoint program broadcast on Sunday mornings at 8:30 am. You can replay recent Viewpoint programs on the WHMI web site. Learn More>>
